This site contains basic information about the CAC's and will be update regularly.
What is a CAC?
Located mainly in libraries, community centers and schools, these public Internet access sites give thousands of Quebecers access to new information technologies at a very low cost. The existence of the centers would not be possible without the participation of Industry Canada's many partners.
The operation of the community access centers (CAC)depend on the excellent work done by volunteers. In addition to managing the CAC's, the volunteers make it possible for the CAC's to provide a multitude of services for all members of the public.
These services include :
- Access to computers
- Internet access
- Training (for Internet and computer applications)
- E-mail
- Chat
- Document printing
- Scanning
- Activities for all ages
- CD Burner and DVD Rom
- And more !
